BULLA – Works from members of the Sound Nucleus, Department of Visual Arts, University of Chile

BULLA consists of works by members of the Sound Nucleus of the Department of Visual Arts of the University of Chile. The works presented showcase the broad alternatives to sound as a research subject within the sphere of the visual arts. The members of the nucleus are not only artists, but academics too and each one of their explorations have affected their academic approach in one way or another

The different works, put together specially for the Cinema Sector of The University Club by Jorge Cabieses-Valdés (artist and member of the nucleus himself), demonstrate the deep impact that research in sound aesthetics has in contemporary Chilean art.

The word bulla (room noise) means the confused noise of shouting and voices produced by a few people, usually in an enclosed space.

The event will be preceded by a sound performance (Porcelanatron III) by Jorge Cabieses-Valdés
